Abstract:

ANOTACE Hlavním předmětem této práce je představit českého básníka, publicistu, esejistu, režiséra a pedagoga Františka Listopada a jeho česky psanou tvorbu v kontextu doby. Jeho osobnost zůstává v naší zemi téměř neznámá. Výrazně se zapsal do dějin české žurnalistiky, když společně s přáteli založil dosud vydávaný deník Mladá fronta. S touto událostí je dnes spojován možná více než s tím, co dokázal vytvořit na poli literárním a kulturním ať už ve 40. letech u nás, nebo v letech následujících ve Francii či v Portugalsku. V roce 1948 opustil Československo a přes poválečnou Paříž doputoval nejprve do Porta, aby se nakonec definitivně usadil v Lisabonu. Tato práce se snaží na pozadí historických událostí sestavit hlavní opěrné body Listopadovy životní dráhy a přiřadit k ní česky psané literární dílo. Vždy ji totiž provázelo psané slovo a mezi jazyky, které Listopad postupně používal, vždy patřila také čeština.

Abstract:

ANNOTATION The primary objective of this thesis is to consider the Czech poet, publicist, essayist, director and pedagogue, František Listopad, and to describe and understand his work in the context of the period at the time of its writing. Unfortunately, his writings still today remain almost unknown in the Czech Republic. He contributed to the history of Czech journalism when he, along with his friends, established Mladá Fronta Journal that has been published regularly since its inception. He may be associated with this event more than with his literary and cultural contributions which were created in the 1940s in the former Czechoslovakia and in the following years in France and Portugal. In 1948, he left Czechoslovakia and travelled to post-war Paris and Porto and finally settled down in Lisbon, Portugal. This thesis attempts to assemble the important events in Listopad's life and review them together with particular pieces of his literary work, written in Czech, while also considering the broader historical milestones at that time as background. The written word was always an essential part of Listopad's life and the Czech language was always among the languages in which he wrote.
