Pension System in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza reformy důchodového systému v ČR a komparace důchodových systémů vybraných zemí. První část je věnována kompletní podobě důchodového systému a jeho tří pilířů v období po zavedení důchodové reformy. Druhá část se zabývá podrobnou analýzou příjmů a výdajů důchodového účtu státního rozpočtu a jeho schodku a analýzou faktorů, které mají vliv právě na příjmovou a výdajovou stránku důchodového pojištění a možnosti jejich ovlivnění ze strany státu. Třetí část práce pojednává o tom, jak skutečně probíhala v praxi důchodová reforma uvnitř penzijní společnosti, konkrétně České spořitelny – penzijní společnosti, a.s., a jakou si tato společnosti vybudovala pozici na trhu penzijního připojištění, důchodového spoření a doplňkového penzijního spoření. V závěrečné čtvrté části je provedena komparaci demografických ukazatelů a důchodových systémů České republiky a vybraných zemí – Maďarska, Německa, Polska, Slovenska a Švédska.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the reform of the pension system in the Czech Republic and to compare the pension systems of other selected countries. The first part is dedicated to a complete description of the pension system and its three pillars after implementing the pension reform. The second part focuses on a detailed analysis of incomes and expenditures of the state budget and its deficit and also on an analysis of factors, which influence the revenues and expenditures of pension insurance and the possible ways they can be affected by state institutions. The third part describes the practical implementation of the pension reform inside a pension company, specifically Česká spořitelna – penzijní společnost, a.s., and also the position, which this company has achieved on the market of supplementary pension, pension savings and supplement pension savings. The fourth and final part of the thesis introduces a comparison of demographic figures and pension systems of the Czech Republic and other selected countries – Hungary, Germany, Poland, the Slovak Republic and Sweden.
