Modern methods of prevention of corruption

Abstract:

V teoretické části této práce je definována korupce, její charakteristiky a dopady, a tradiční metody prevence korupce. Dále obsahuje teoretická část popis moderních metod, které se využívají za účelem prevence korupce. Cílem této práce je tyto metody popsat a zjistit jejich silné stránky, slabiny a jejich případný přínos pro společnost. Práce dále popisuje budoucí metody, které jsou v současné době vyvíjeny, avšak kvůli technologickým překážkám stále nejsou implementovány. Praktická část této práce obsahuje zpracovaný audit, během kterého měly být odhaleny využité preventivní metody v auditované společnosti. Kvůli nedostatku těchto metod je v závěru praktické části popsán potenciální pozitivní přínos metod, které jsou vyjmenovány v této práci. Závěr této práce poukazuje na hlavní nedostatek většiny současných metod, a to nezodpovědnost samotných zaměstnanců, která znemožňuje správnou funkci těchto preventivních metod.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of this work describes corruption and its characteristics, and mentions some of the most widely used traditional methods of corruption prevention. Moreover, it contains description of several modern methods, which are being used to prevent corruption in companies. The goal of this work is to describe these methods, realize their strengths and weaknesses, and their potential benefit for the company. Finally, the theoretical part of this work describes future methods, which are currently in development, and too advanced to be implemented in a large scale. The practical part of this work contains audit of a subsidiary company of an international conglomerate, during which methods described in the theoretical part should have been disclosed. Due to the lack of these methods, the conclusion contains possible positive effects of the potential implementation. The overall conclusion points at the prime weakness of most of the current methods, which is irresponsibility of employees.
