This bachelor thesis focuses on the phenomenon called "Greek life". This thesis commences by explaining the meaning of the term "Greek life", its establishment and early history of the fraternities as well as sororities, furthermore it informs the readers about the structure and organization of the sororities and the fraternities in the USA. Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem studentských spolků (bratrstev a sesterstev) na amerických univerzitách. V úvodu práce bude vysvětleno, co vše termín "Greek life" obnáší, a také bude popsán vznik i vývoj studentských spolků. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat kladné i stinné stránky členství v těchto spolcích a také jejich dopad na život Američanů po absolvování univerzity.
