Abstract:

Objekty s tenkou stěnou či tenkou strukturou jsou velmi běžné. Mnoho tkání v lidském těle má rovněž tenkou strukturu a můžou být takto uvažovány, či být alespoň takto modelovány. Modelovaní deformací povrchů je problém s širokou škálou aplikací hlavně v oblasti počítačové grafiky. Nicméně mnohé z dřívějších technik nejsou aplikovatelné v oblasti chirurgických simulátorů, kde je potřeba fyzikálně založený model. Předkládaná práce se na tento problém zaměřuje a předkládá nový model skořepiny založený na definici Bézierova trojúhelníku odvozený pomocí existující teorie tenkých plátů a skořepin. Použitelnost modelu je odzkoušena na dvou různých aplikacích.

Abstract:

Objects with thin walls or thin structure are very common. Many tissues in human body also have thin structure and may be seen as surfaces or at least be modeled as such. Deformation modeling of surfaces is a topic with wide area of applications especially in computer graphics. However, many of the previously presented techniques are not applicable to the area of surgical simulations where a more physically based approach is desired. The proposed thesis addresses this problem by presenting a new model of shell element that is based on the definition of Bézier triangle and derived using the existing theory of thin plates and shells. The usability of the model is evaluated on two different applications.
