The Project of Extension of Entrepreneurial Activity in Freight Forwarding Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zhodnocením výhodnosti rozšíření podnikatelské činnosti spe-diční firmy. Společnost uvažuje o nákupu dvou kamionů a tím tak o rozšíření své podnika-telské činnosti ze spedice na dopravní společnost. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretic-kou a praktickou. V teoretické části je provedena literární rešerše v oblastech: podnikání, výnosy, náklady, výsledek hospodaření podniku, investice, hodnocení investic, zdroje fi-nancování a finanční plán. Praktická část se zabývá představením a analýzou současného stavu společnosti. Následuje představení investičního záměru a zdroje jeho financování. Dále jsou použity metody hodnocení efektivnosti investic, stanoveno rozhodnutí o přijetí, či zamítnutí a je vytvořen finanční plán pro případ přijetí investice. V závěru práce je vy-pracována riziková analýza k identifikaci a eliminaci možných rizik podniku a projektu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the extension profitability of business activities in freight forwarding company. The company intends to purchase two trucks and thereby to extend its business from the Freight Forwarding Company into Transportation Company. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part you can find literature review in the areas of: entrepreneurship, revenues, expenses, profit, in-vestments, investment evaluation methods, funding resources and financial plan. In the practical part you can find company introduction, current situation analysis. These chapters are followed by the introduction of the investment plan and its funding sources. Next chap-ter is focused on Investment Evaluation Methods and decision of acceptance or rejection is provided. The financial plan for following 5 years is created in case of accepting the in-vestment. At the end of this thesis you can find risk analysis which helps to identify and eliminate possible company´s and project risks.
