Headlines Relevance to Their Stories in Czech Newspaper MF Dnes and iDnes.cz: Content Analysis

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá relevancí titulků vzhledem k obsahu článků, které uvádějí. Základním konceptem práce je optimalizace relevance, aplikace teorie relevance na novinové titulky. Obsahem teoretické části bakalářské práce je teoretické ukotvení titulku a jeho funkce, teorie relevance a optimalizace relevance. Pro analýzu optimalizace relevance práce používá metodu obsahové analýzy. Výsledky obsahové analýzy ukazují, že optimalizace relevance je funkční koncept. Titulky v Mladé frontě Dnes a iDnes.cz jsou do značné míry ke svým článkům.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis follows up theme of headlines relevance to the stories they lead. Principal concept of this thesis is relevance optimizing, version of relevance theory handling with newspaper headlines. Theoretical part of bachelor thesis includes theory of headlines, its functions, relevance theory and concept of relevance optimizing. Thesis use content analysis to analyse relevance optimizing. Results shows that concept of relevance optimizing is functional. Headlines in Czech newspaper Mladá fronta Dnes and iDnes.cz are to a large extent relevant to their stories.
