Analyse of Astérix and its presentation to readers and spectators

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis „Analyse of Astérix and its presentation to readers and spectators” treats with a French comics Astérix and Cleopatra (1965) and its cinematization to the animated film from the year 1968. First part of the thesis presents the comics to readers, reminds of the history of the comics, refers to similar attributes between the comics and the animated film and it introduces the comics and the animated film Astérix an Cleopatra, its authors and its story. Second part of the thesis focuses on analyse of the comics ant its comparison with the animated film, it devote us to a french terminology. Another topic of our analyse is a depiction of the signs in speech bubbles, methods of the speech of heroes in the album or tools for the representation of the movement, of the anger, of the joy, and all these apropos of the comics with regard to the animated film. This thesis is succeeded by a lot of pictures which illustrate concrete examples. So that we find out question - does Astérix is still popular after its 50 years in a young generation? We add a questionnaire at the end of this thesis and its summary intend on Astérix and we bring out answer of this question.

Bakalářská práce L´analyse d´Astérix du point de vue de sa présentation aux lecteurs et aux spectateurs se věnuje francouzskému komiksu Asterix a Kleopatra (1965) a jeho převedení do animovaného filmu z roku 1968. První část této práce seznamuje čtenáře s komiksem, připomíná historii komiksu, upozorňuje na podobné rysy mezi komiksem a animovaným filmem a představuje komiks a animovaný film Asterix a Kleopatra, jeho autory a samotný děj. Druhá část práce je obsahově nejdůležitější, zaměřuje se na rozbor komiksu a jeho porovnání s animovaným filmem, soustředí se mimo jiné i na speciální francouzskou terminologii v této oblasti. Dalším tématem našeho rozboru se stává způsob zobrazení výpovědí v „bublinách“ komiksu, užívaným způsobům projevů hrdinů v albu či prostředkům sloužícím k vyobrazení pohybu, hněvu, radosti, a to vždy ze strany komiksu vzhledem k animovanému filmu. Tato práce je doprovázena bohatým obrazovým materiálem, na kterém jsou konkrétní jevy demonstrovány. Abychom zjistili, jak oblíbený je Asterix po padesáti letech své existence a jestli naše mladá generace se zajímá či se orientuje na poli komiksu a animovaného filmu o Asterixovi, připojujeme krátký dotazník a následně jeho shrnutí, v němž se dovídáme odpovědi na tyto otázky .
