The change of landscape in Trutnov region due to the construction of the railways until 1918

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá proměnu krajiny v souvislosti s výstavbou železnice na Trutnovsku zejména ve 2. polovině 19. století. Nejprve je na základě mapových vyobrazení stabilního katastru zachycen stav krajiny před výstavbou železnice. Následně je pojednáno o tom, jak výstavbu železnice v Podkrkonoší vnímal dobový tisk. Práce se zabývá železniční tratí z Poříčí do Královce, která byla zprovozněna roku 1868 a následně na ni navazující dráhou z Královce do Žacléře předanou do provozu roku 1882.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the transformation of the landscape in connection with the railway construction in the Trutnov region, especially in the second half of the 19th century. Firstly, the state of the landscape before the construction of the railway is depicted based on the map depictions of the stable cadastre. Subsequently, it is examined how the historical press perceived the railway construction in the Podkrkonoší region. The thesis deals with the railway line from Poříčí to Královec, which was put into operation in 1868, followed by the railway line from Královec to Žacléř put into operation in 1882.
