The philosophical concept of José Ortega y Gasset and its influence on some of the authors of the Generation of 27

Abstract:

José Ortega y Gasset is one of the most important figures of 20th century Spain. Despite the criticism of the little originality and incompleteness of his philosophical views, there is no doubt that his thoughts influenced many of his contemporaries and also the following generations. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the philosophical orientation of the author, above all on the ideas about art and literature. I will also introduce some of the authors of the Generation of 27. In the practical part follows the analysis of his influence in the works of some of the authors of the Generation of 27.

Abstract:

José Ortega y Gasset je jedním z nejvýznamnějších intelektuálů Španělska 20. století. Přestože mu bývá vytýkána malá originalita a neucelenost koncepce jeho filosofického smýšlení, je bez debat, že jeho myšlenky ovlivnily jak mnoho jeho současníků, tak následující generace. V teoretické části diplomové práce se zaměřím na filosofickou orientaci autora, zejména však na jeho názory týkající se umění a literatury. Představím také některé z autorů takzvané Generace 27. V praktické části následuje analýza vlivu myšlenek tohoto filosofa na konkrétní tvorbu některých autorů skupiny známé jako Generace 27.
