The current racism in South Africa

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuálním stavem rasismu v Jihoafrické republice, kde došlo po pádu apartheidu k jeho výrazné proměně. Tato oblast je s rasismem spjata již po staletí a právě minulost ovlivňuje jeho podobu do budoucnosti. V úvodní části této práce jsou představeny základní pojmy, které jsou důležité pro uchopení problematiky. Zároveň je nastíněna historie JAR, kde je evidentní spojitost s rasismem již od dob kolonizace. Hlavní část se věnuje současné situaci, především inverznímu rasismu, ale také rasismu vůči černé rase. V samotném závěru je nastíněn možný budoucí vývoj v návaznosti na zjištěná fakta.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the current state of racism in South Africa, where there was a significant change after the fall of apartheid. This area has been associated with racism for centuries and it is the past that has shaped it into the future. The introductory part of this work introduces the basic concepts, that are important for grasping the issue. At the same time, the history of South Africa is outlined, where there has been an obvious connection with racism since the time of colonization. The main part deals with the current situation, especially inverse racism, but also racism against the black race. In the end it outlines possible future developments in relation to the findings.
