The Domestication: the first of many or the last to stay

Abstract:

U domestikovaných druhů můžeme pozorovat zvýšený výskyt jedinců s bílými skvrnami. Podle tradičních hypotéz je výskyt bílých skvrn spojen s krotším a méně agresivním chování vůči člověku. Cílem této práce bylo ověřit, zda se liší výsledek či průběh volby zvířat s rozdílným rozsahem bílého zbarvení, pokud respondenti postupně volí 1) prvního, který přežije a 2) posledního, který přežije.

Abstract:

In domesticated species, we can observe an increased incidence of individuals with white spots. According to traditional hypotheses, the occurrence of white spots is associated with tamer and less aggressive behavior towards humans. The aim of this work was to verify whether the result or course of selection of animals with a different extent of white coloration differs, if the respondents gradually choose 1) the first who survives and 2) the last who survives.
