Geoparks as Part of Ecological Tourism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na rozdíly mezi provozováním geoparků v České republice a Norském království za podmínky vzrůstajícího zájmu veřejnosti o udržitelný rozvoj a o šetrné formy cestovního ruchu. Cílem práce je porovnat postoj vedení dvou různých geoparků k overturismu jako potenciální hrozbě a k řízení destinace pomocí participativního managementu jako primárního nástroje. V první teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy z oblasti cestovního ruchu, jako jsou overturismus, participativní management, šetrné formy cestovního ruchu a geoparky, jejichž znalost je potřebná k porozumění zbytku bakalářské práce. Na začátku praktické části jsou představeny základní informace, hlavní činnosti a atraktivity dvou zkoumaných geoparků. Poslední kapitoly se zabývají již podrobným uvedením a porovnáním odpovědí od vedení geoparků, které byly získány z dotazníkového šetření. Závěr obsahuje shrnutí výsledků a vlastní postoj autorky k problematice bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with differences in management of geoparks in the Czech Republic and Kingdom of Norway in circumstances of an uprising social interest about sustainable development and about environmentally friendly and other sustainable forms of tourism. The goal of the thesis is to compare the stance of two different geoparks’ administrations on overtourism as a potential threat and on managing the destination using the participative management style as a primary tool. In theoretical part main terms according to the topic of the thesis are mentioned such as overtourism, participative management, sustainable forms of tourism and geoparks. They are necessary for understanding the theoretical part of the thesis, the beginning of which is focused on giving basic information about two geoparks. Last chapters of the thesis are focused on presenting and comparing the answers from the survey that was conducted during the research. In conclusion the author sums up the results and expresses personal opinion about the topic.
