Analysis of alcohol consumption in a selected group of secondary school students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou konzumace alkoholu u žáků středních škol. Jsou zde vysvětleny základními pojmy, závislost na alkoholu a její léčba. Ve výzkumné části jsou zpracována data metodou kvantitativního výzkumu pomocí dotazníku. Šetření bylo provedeno na šesti různých středních školách v Pardubickém okrese. Cílem práce je zjistit úroveň a míru konzumace alkoholu na středních školách v Pardubickém okrese. To znamená zjistit názory a postoje žáků na konzumaci alkoholu, určit, co je ke konzumaci vedlo, zmapovat znalosti žáků o škodlivosti spojené s konzumací alkoholu, preventivní opatření v dotazovaných školách a připravit tak podklady pro vhodné a smysluplné preventivní činnosti v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issues of alcohol consumption of students at secondary schools. The elementary terms – alcohol addiction and its treatment are explained. In the research part the data from the quantitate research, provided by the questionnaire, are analysed. The survey was carried out at six different secondary schools in the district of Pardubice. The aim of this thesis is to find out the level and volume of alcohol consumption at secondary schools at the district of Pardubice. That means – to find out the students´ opinions and attitudes towards alcohol consumption, and to determine, what leads them to consumption, to find out the level of their knowledge about harmful effects of alcohol, furthermore , what precautions the surveyed schools take, and lastly, to prepare groundwork for suitable and meaningful preventive activities in this field.
