Ethics in Business

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je etika v podnikání. Diplomová práce se člení na část teoretickou a část aplikační. V teoretické části jsem se zabývala rozdělením etiky, historickým vývojem, podnikatelskou etikou, principy a nástroji etického řízení, etickými kodexy, modely etického rozhodování a společenskou odpovědností firem. V aplikační části jsem provedla dotazníkové šetření mezi manažery a majiteli firem různých velikostí, v různě velikých městech a působícími v nejrůznějších oblastech. Cílem toho dotazníkového šetření bylo zjistit, jak je podnikatelská etika vnímána, jaké etické problémy firmy v současné době mají, jakým způsobem tyto problémy řeší, jestli mají zavedené etické kodexy, zda se ve firmách provádí etický a sociální audit,.... Z dotazníkového šetření vyplynulo, že většina firem považuje podnikatelskou etiku za důležitou, domnívají se, že z etického chování mohou mít nějaký prospěch, že řada, zejména větších firem, má zavedeny etické kodexy. Ovšem například etický a sociální audit se v českých firmách příliš neprovádí.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is ethics in business. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I dealt with the division of ethics, historical development, business ethics, principles and instruments of ethical management, ethical codes, models of ethical decision making and corporate social responsibility. In the application part, I conducted a questionnaire survey of managers and owners of companies of various sizes, in cities of different sizes, working in various fields. The aim of this questionnaire survey was to determine how business ethics is perceived, as ethical problems companies currently have, how they solve these problems, if they have established codes of ethics, whether in companies carrying out the ethical and social audits, .... From questionnaire survey followed that most firms considered business ethics for important. They believe that they can to have benefit from the ethical behavior, especially larger companies have introduced ethical codes. But for example ethical and social audit is in the Czech firms very unique.
