Vliv IMF na bývalé socialistické státy střední a východní Evropy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem Mezinárodního měnového fondu na bývalé socialistické státy střední a východní Evropy. Pozornost je věnována přechodnému procesu těchto zemí, kde upustily od centrálně planováné ekonomiky a přešly na tržní ekonomiku. Z počátku tato práce popisuje Mezinárodní měnový fond jako nadnárodní instituci, zkoumá jaké jsou hlavní principy a jak funguje. Práce nadále popisuje historický vývoj předcházející rozpadu Sovětského svazu. Poté se zaměřuje na transformační proces, jeho klíčové faktory a čeho se země snažily dosáhnout. Zahrnul jsem případové studie Polska a Ruska, jelikož to byly ve své podstatě protějšky. Tato práce zakončuje ohodnocením přímého vlivu IMF na přechodný proces.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the impact of the International Monetary Fund on the Post-Socialist countries of Middle and Eastern Europe. The focus is on the transition process of these countries, where they relinquished the centrally planned economy and transferred towards the market economy. In the beginning, the thesis, describes the International Monetary Fund as a supranational institution, what are the main principles and how does it function. Afterward, it goes through the historical development of countries before the breakdown of Soviet Union. Then it focuses on the transition process, what were the crucial factors and what were the states trying to accomplish. I have included case studies of Poland and Russia because they were essentially counterparts to each other in the transition process. The thesis concludes by assessing the direct influence of the IMF during the transition process.
