Influence of the sampling rate on the flammable gas air mixtures´ explosion parameters

Abstract:

Cílem práce je určit rychlost vzorkování, které je vhodné pro správné určení rychlosti nárůstu tlaku při výbuchu směsí hořlavých plynů se vzduchem. Způsobem dosažení cíle jsou experimenty, které budou probíhat v souladu s normou EN 15967, ve které je popsán postup stanovování maximálního výbuchového tlaku a maximální rychlosti nárůstu tlaku. Výbuchy plynů byly prováděny ve dvanácti a dvaceti litrové výbuchové komoře. Pro měření tlaku bylo použito piezorezistivní tlakové čidlo. U tohoto čidla byla zaznamenávána chvění membrány tak, že mechanická práce byla převáděna na elektrický signál - napětí. Toto napětí bylo dále přes zesilovač vedeno do A/D převodníku a přepočteno na tlak. Vzorkování A/D převodníku bylo pak určující pro správné vyhodnocení rychlosti nárůstu tlaku. Dynamická měření probíhala s jedním čidlem ve dvanácti litrové nádobě a s dvěma v nádobě dvacetilitrové. Výsledné hodnoty rychlosti nárůstu tlaku byly porovnány se standardními hodnotami uvedenými v normě. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze čtyř částí a závěru. Práce začíná úvodem. Druhou kapitolou je rešerše, ve které budou vysvětleny základní informace týkající se výbuchů plynů a s nimi související normy. Mimo jiné budou popsány přístroje, na kterých se pracovalo a se kterými se lze v tomto odvětví setkat. Dále jsou zde vysvětleny principy A/D a D/A převodníků. Poté bylo nalezeno několik prací, které se zabývají podobnou problematikou měření. Ve třetí části bude popsáno praktické měření, při kterém bude zapalován aceton, methan a vodík ve dvanácti a dvaceti litrové výbuchové komoře. Následně ve čtvrté části budou výsledky práce prezentovány formou grafů a tabulek, které názorně ukazují kvalitu měření a ukáží, jak vhodné vzorkování (měření) tlaku může zpřesnit vyhodnocení maximální rychlosti nárůstu tlaku. Poslední částí je závěr.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to determine the sampling rate, which is suitable for the correct determination of the rate of pressure increase in the explosion of mixtures of flammable gases with air. The way to achieve the goal are experiments, which will be carried out in accordance with the standard EN 15967, which describes the procedure for determining the maximum explosion pressure and the maximum rate of pressure rise. Gas explosions were carried out in a twelve and twenty liter explosion chamber. A piezoresistive pressure sensor was used to measure the pressure. For this sensor, the vibration of the diaphragm was recorded so that the mechanical work was converted into an electrical signal - voltage. This voltage was further fed via an amplifier to an A / D converter and converted to pressure. Sampling of the A / D converter was then decisive for the correct evaluation of the rate of pressure rise. Dynamic measurements were performed with one sensor in a twelve liter vessel and with two in a twenty liter vessel. The resulting values of the pressure rise rate were compared with the standard values given in the standard. The bachelor thesis consists of four parts and a conclusion. The work begins with an introduction. The second chapter is a search in which the basic information concerning gas explosions and related standards will be explained. Among other things, the devices that have been worked on and that can be encountered in this sector will be described. The principles of A / D and D / A converters are also explained here. Then several works were found that deal with similar measurement issues. The third part will describe a practical measurement in which acetone, methane and hydrogen will be ignited in a twelve and twenty liter explosion chamber. Subsequently, in the fourth part, the results of the work will be presented in the form of graphs and tables, which clearly show the quality of measurements and show how appropriate sampling (measurement) of pressure can refine the evaluation of the maximum rate of pressure increase. The last part is the conclusion.
