Abstract:

Moje práce se zaměří na život a odkaz Sargona II. Počátek bude tvořit jeho nástup na trůn, dále pak významné momenty během jeho panování včetně rozboru početných vojenských výprav. Tato část bude také obsahovat Sargonův způsob správy jeho říše. Později se budu věnovat stavební činnosti za jeho vlády. Do všech těchto částí budou také zasahovat poznatky z jeho korespondence a královských nápisů. Závěr práce bude tvořit nastínění situace, v jaké po sobě říši zanechal a jaký měla jeho vláda vliv na dějiny Asýrie.

Abstract:

My work will focus on life and legacy of Sargon II. The beginning will consist of his enthronement, followed by the major events of his rule including analysis of his military campaigns. This part will also contain the way of his control of the empire. Later I will be interested in building activities during his reign. In all parts will also be used knowledge gained from his correspondence and royal inscriptions. The ending will try to foreshadow the situation of empire after his death and his influence on the history of Assyria.
