Czech on the Internet Discussion Forums

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce se věnuje češtině na diskuzních fórech. Je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se věnuje spisovné češtině a jejím varietám, obecné a standardní češtině, konceptu minimální intervence a jeho způsobu přijetí odborníky. Práce se také soustředí na stylotvorné faktory, které mohou příspěvky na diskuzních fórech ovlivňovat. V praktické části se zaměřuje na analýzu a komparaci dvou tematicky rozdílných diskuzních fór, přičemž z každého fóra práce rozebírá dvě vzorové diskuze.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with Czech language used on discussion forums and it is divided into two parts – a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part deals with a literary language and its varieties, with common Czech and standard Czech. It also examines the concept of the minimal language intervention and how it is accepted among experts. The thesis is also focused on the stylistic factors which can affect posts on the discussion forums. The practical part of the thesis compares and analyzes two discussion forums while each of them is focused on a different topic. It analyzes two discussions as examples from each of the forums.
