Abstract:

Práce si klade za cíl zanalyzovat, jak americký seriál The Wire přibližuje problematiku kriminality mladistvých a vstupní úrovně organizovaného zločinu. Za tímto účelem práce sleduje příběhové linie čtyř hlavních charakterů, které zasazuje do kontextu jejich sociálního zázemí a socioekonomických výzev spojených s post-industriální společností na přelomu tisíciletí.

Abstract:

Thesis aims to analyze how the American show The Wire comments on the issue of juvenile criminality and the entry levels of organized crime. It follows the story lines of four pivotal characters and places them in the context of their social background and the socio-economic issues of the post-industrial society at the turn of the millennium.
