John Ronald Reuel Tolkien byl anglický spisovatel a filolog, jenž napsal světoznámou trilogii žánru fantasy Silmarillion, Hobit a Pán prstenů. O jeho literárním díle byly napsány stovky prací. Tato bakalářská práce se snaží nalézt motivy, které by mohly odkazovat na náboženskou stránku díla. Tyto motivy budou posléze porovnávány s látkou z Bible a se severskými mytickými látkami. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was an English writer and philologist, who wrote the world-famous fantasy trilogy, The Silmarillion, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. There are hundreds of papers written about his literary work. This bachelor thesis tries to find themes that could refer to the religious aspect of the work.
