Use of fibers in asphalt mixtures and road construction layers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem a testováním asfaltových směsí s vlákennými příměsmi. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku silničních staveb, konstrukce vozovek a modifikace. Další část je zaměřena na poruchy silnic a defekty. Dále se práce věnuje detailnímu popisů vlastností použitých vláken ve směsích. Experimentální část se zabývá výrobou zkušebních těles z jednoho typu asfaltové směsi ve čtyřech variacích a jejich testováním. Jednotlivé variace jsou mezi sebou porovnávány a vyhodnocovány přínosné nebo naopak nepřínosné vlastnosti vláken v asfaltových směsích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the study and testing of asphalt mixtures with fiber admixtures. The theoretical part is focused on the issue of road construction, road structure and modification. The next part deals with road defects and malfunctions. Furthermore, the thesis deals with detailed descriptions of the properties of the fibers used in the mixtures. The experimental part deals with the production of specimens from one type of asphalt mixture in four variations and their testing. The individual variations are compared with each other and results of mixtures with fibers are evaluated if they are beneficial or not.
