Cryptoanalysis of Chosen Historical Ciphers with Using Computer Software

Abstract:

V této práci se lze dočíst o různých možnostech utajování smyslu informací a vytvořené aplikaci, která některé tyto možnosti demonstruje. V několika částech jsou zde popsány různé druhy šifer společně s jejich příklady a historickým zařazením. Jsou zde uvedeny různé druhy substitučních a transpozičních šifer. Samostatný oddíl je poté věnován kryptoanalýze vybraných druhů šifer. Následuje popis životního cyklu vývoje aplikace spolu s detailním popisem jednotlivých funkcí aplikace. Na konci práce je oddíl o porovnávání časové náročnosti jak ruční kryptoanalýzy, tak kryptoanalýzy s využitím vytvořené aplikace, spolu s úvahou nad využitím moderní technologie při dešifrování v současnosti.

Abstract:

In this thesis you can read about different possibilities how to conceal the main sense of information and also about application which was created for demonstrating some of them. In several parts, there are the different kinds of cyphers described together with their examples and historical classification. There are also the different kinds of substitution and transposition cyphers. The separate division attends to cryptoanalysis of chosen kinds of cyphers. It follows a description about life cycle of the application along with a detailed description of an individual functions of the application. At the end of the thesis, there is a division about comparison of time consumption both hand cryptoanalysis, and cryptoanalysis with using by created application together along with consideration of using modern technology in decryption in these days.
