Obsahem této bakalářské diplomové práce je srovnání tvorby Gunthera von Hagense a Damiena Hirsta. Oba používají materiál, který byl jednou živ – těla lidí a zvířat. V umělecké transformaci von Hagense se z mrtvol (relikvií života) stávají plastináty, tedy těla, která jsou konzervována plastinací, jím patentovanou technikou, Hirstova zvířata jsou uvězněna ve vitrínách naplněných formaldehydem. Abstract:
Thesis’s subject matter is a comparison of the works by Gunther von Hagens and Damien Hirst. They both are using material once alive – human and animal cadavers. In artistic transformation corpses (relics of life) became von Hagens’s plastinates – bodies natured by plastination, his own preservation technique, Hirst’s animals are stranded in tanks filled with formaldehyde solution.
