Naumachie z počiatkov obdobia Rímskeho Impéria boli prepracovanými inscenovanými námornými bitkami. Takéto reprezentácie námorných bojov boli lákadlom pre mnohých divákov a boli vo veľkej miere teatralizované. Abstract:
Naumachiae were elaborate staged naval combats of the early Roman Empire. These representations of naval combats attracted huge numbers of spectators and were to a great extent theatricalized.
