The Development of Measuring Equipment for a String of Photovoltaic Panels on the Arduino Platform

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je vývoj, návrh a realizace integrovaného systému pro měření proudu na stringu fotovoltaických panelů a jejich zabezpečení na platformě Arduino. Systém bude umožňovat kontinuální měření protékajícího proudu stringem fotovoltaických panelů a na základě definovaných podmínek bude předávat poruchové informace servisní organizaci. Rozšířenou možností systému bude možnost připojení poplachového detektoru pro hlídání fotovoltaických panelů se zasláním poplachové informace servisní organizaci nebo zapojením do stávající ústředny PZTS. Teoretická část diplomové práce je zaměřena na specifikaci zabezpečení fotovoltaických panelů a elektráren formou rozkladu "Fyzické ochrany" na konkrétní její části s popisem jejich funkcionality s odkazem na normy, které je definují. Další část práce se věnuje roz-boru a popisu technologií nejčastěji používaných pro střežení fotovoltaických panelů a elektráren. Závěr teoretické části je věnován způsobům a typům monitoringu výroby elektřiny z fotovoltaických panelů. Praktická část diplomové práce řeší vývoj, návrh a realizaci vývojového kitu integrovaného systému pro monitoring provozních údajů výroby fotovoltaické elektrárny s bezpečnostním modulem pro ochranu fotovoltaických panelů nebo technologie. Na začátku vývoje je nutné stanovit si požadavky na systém, následuje podrobný rozbor fungování systému, který je přenesen do formy vývojových diagramů, na základě nichž se tvoří program systému pro mikrokontrolér, který poté celý systém řídí. Dle stanovených požadavků dochází i k výběru požadovaného hardwaru, který bude nejlépe splnění požadavků vyhovovat. Na konci těchto procesů bude hotový funkční vývojový kit, který bude splňovat definované požadavky a bude možné jej dále modifikovat. Závěr práce shrnuje veškeré body, které byly stanoveny, a hodnotí jejich úspěšnost. Na konci práce je zhodnocena varianta dalšího možného vývoje s přihlédnutím na rozšíření nebo modifikaci vývojového kitu pro různé typy použití.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is the development, design and implementation of an inte-grated system for measuring the current and securing the string of photovoltaic panels, based on the Arduino platform. The system will allow for a continuous measurement of the flow through the string of pho-tovoltaic panels and, on the basis of defined conditions, will transmit fault information to the service organization. It is possible to extend the system by connecting an alarm detec-tor to monitor photovoltaic panels and send alarm information to a service organization, or by plugging the developed system into an existing I&HAS control panel. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the specification of photovoltaic panel and power plant security in the form of decomposition of "Physical protection" to its specific parts with a description of their functionality with reference to the standards that define them. The next part is devoted to analysis and description of the most commonly used technologies for the protection of photovoltaic panels and power plants. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to methods and types of monitoring the electricity produc-tion of photovoltaic panels. The practical part of the thesis deals with the development, design and implementation of an integrated system for monitoring the operational data of photovoltaic power plant pro-duction with a security module for photovoltaic panels or technology protection. At the be-ginning of the development, it is necessary to define system requirements, followed by a detailed analysis of the desired system functionality. The output is modeled into the flowcharts that are used to develop the microcontroller program, which then manages the whole system. According to the set requirements, the appropriate hardware is also selected. The outcome of the process will be a functional development kit that meets the defined re-quirements and can be further modified. The conclusion summarizes all the goals that have been determined and evaluates their ful-fillment. At the end of the work, a variant of further possible development is evaluated with regard to the expansion or modification of the development kit for various types of applications.
