Transnational Cooperation of French National Front with Czech Right-Wing Parties

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá transnacionálními vztahy krajně pravicových stran v evropském kontextu. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na transnacionální kooperaci francouzské Národní fronty a českých krajně pravicových subjektů, které analyzuje pomocí případové studie. Cílem předkládané práce je zejména analyzovat charakter a dynamiku vzájemných vztahů. Na základě konceptualizace krajní pravice z hlediska krajně pravicové rodiny a subtypů krajní pravice vnímá tato práce krajně pravicové subjekty jako nestátní aktéry, kteří mohou samostatně vystupovat v zahraničních vztazích a navazovat tak kontakty. Tato diplomová práce zjišťuje, že v případě FN a českých subjektů se transnacionální vztahy vytvářejí zejména v rámci obdobného subtypu krajně pravicových, a to protestně (transformační) populistické krajní pravice.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with transnational relations of far right parties in European perspective. The aim of this case study is to analyze the dynamics and character of transnational relations of far right subjects. This paper focuses on transnational relations of French far right party Front National and its activities in engaging into relations with far right subjects in the Czech Republic. To conceptualize the far right parties, this thesis regards far right parties through concept of party families and through subtypes of far right parties. Above all, this thesis conceptualizes far right parties as actors of international relations who can enter into transnational relations. It finds out that transnational relations in case of Czech far right subjects and Front National develop mainly within the same subtype of far right parties, the populist far right.
