Temperament from the historical poin of view

Abstract:

Zaměření této bakalářské práce je do oblasti temperamentu, konkrétně sledování vzniku temperamentových koncepcí. Práce obsahuje pouze teoretickou část. Tato část je snahou o zmapování vývoje názorů na temperament, které jsou zaznamenané již od dob antiky. Je zde možno se postupně seznámit s pojetím názorů na temperament od klasické Hippokratovsko-Galenovské teorie přes koncepce navazující na ni buď přímo, nebo okrajově. V práci jsou zachyceny zmínky o temperamentu v prvním česky psaném textu na toto téma a poskytnuta možnost obeznámení se s dalšími novodobějšími koncepcemi, ať už pojatými psychofyziologicky, konstitučně, čistě psychologicky či vybudovanými na neurofyziologických základech s vyústěním v soudobých výzkumech temperamentu a to jak u populace dospělé, tak i dětské. Jsou zde tedy předloženy poznatky o této stránce osobnosti napříč spektrem různých pojetí a pohledů na temperament. Práce poskytuje příležitost v rámci možností se uceleně seznámit s všeobecně známými, ale i méně uváděnými teoriemi včetně výkladů některých konceptů temperamentu na základě studia původních materiálů jejich tvůrců.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis is focusing on the area of temperament and especially on monitoring of formation of temperament concepts. The thesis includes only a theoretical part which attempts to chart development of views on temperament which are recorded since ancient times. We are gradually introduced to the concept of views on temperament from the classical Hippocrates-Galen theory through concepts related to it either directly or marginally. The thesis contains references to temperament in the first text written in Czech on this subject and there is also given an opportunity to get familiar with other more recent concepts. These concepts may be conceived psychophysiologically, constitutionally, purely psychologically or constructed on the neurophysiological basis with outcome in contemporary temperament researches among both adult and children population. Therefore the findings about this personality attribute are presented across different concepts and views on temperament. This thesis provides an opportunity to become familiar with generally recognized as well as with the less quoted theories, including several temperament concepts explanations based on the study of the original papers of their authors.
