"Possibilities to correct the operated planovalgus foot in children and adolescents. Role of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. "

Abstract:

The term "flat foot" refers to a flattening of the arch of the foot that persists beyond 7 years of age. In the first phase of gait, from 10 months of age until 3-4 years, this situation is normal, according to the immaturity of the connective tissue capsule and ligaments, and the lack of activity of the muscles "cavizzanti." With the physiological growth of the foot such morphology undergoes regression in spontaneously, usually around 7 years, but in some cases the foot can, however, remain flat even after the first infancy, and remain such in the adolescent and in the adult without this represents, in itself, a pathological condition.

ersiste oltre i 7 anni dˇ?eta. Nella prima fase della deambulazione, dai 10 mesi di vita fino ai 3-4 anni, tale situazione e del tutto normale, in funzione dellˇ?immaturita del tessuto connettivo di capsule e legamenti e della mancata attivita dei muscoli cavizzanti. Con la fisiologica crescita del piede tale morfologia va incontro spontaneamente a regressione, in genere intorno ai 7 anni, ma in alcuni casi il piede puo tuttavia restare piatto anche dopo la prima infanzia, e permanere tale nellˇ?adolescente e nellˇ?adulto senza che cio rappresenti, di per se, una condizione patologica.
