Development of inflation in the Slovak Republic in the process of integration to the EMU

Abstract:

The aim of the submitted thesiswork is to evaluate inflation in Slovakia in the period of integration into the EMU and the impact of the euro and the economic crisis in its development. The work is divided into four parts. The first chapter describes the basic theoretical aspects of inflation. The second and third part is the analytical part of the work where the assistance of graphs and tables detailing the evolution of inflation in Slovakia by year until 2009 when she was in SR has introduced a common currency euro. Finally, here I discribe the global crisis that hit the world economy and affected both Slovakia and the euro area but also the entire economy sveta. The last chapter of my thesis is an overall summary of the results obtained in the analytical section.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť vývoj inflácie v SR v období začleňovania sa do EMÚ a vplyv zavedenia eura a hospodárskej krízy na jej vývoj. Práca je rozdelená do štyroch častí. V prvej kapitole popisujem základné teoretické aspekty inflácie. Druhá a tretia časť je analytickou časťou práce kde pomocu grafov a tabuliek podrobne opisujem vývoj inflácie v SR podľa jednotlivých rokov až do roku 2009 keď bola v SR zavedená spoločná mena euro. V neposlednom rade sa tu venujem aj globálnej hospdárskej kríze, ktorá zasiahla celý svet a ovplynila ekonomiku nielen Slovenska a Eurozóny ale aj ekonomiku celého sveta. Poslednou kapitolou tejto mojej diplomovej práce je celkové zhrnutie výsledkov dosiahnutých v analytickej časti.
