Analysis and Managment of Financial Risk in a Company

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou finančních rizik vyplývajících z podnikatelské činnosti. Cílem této práce je analýza finančních rizik firmy s návrhem opatření pro efektivní řízení finančních rizik. V teoretické části je popsána problematika rizik, jejich analýza a řízení. Dále je zde představena definice malých a střední podniků a finanční analýza, která je využívána k identifikaci ukazatelů finanční tísně a to zejména likvidity, financování a solventnosti. V praktické části je analyzována firma ABC, s.r.o., která spadá do kategorie malých a středních podniků. Zpracováním finanční analýzy této společnosti s využitím vhodných poměrových ukazatelů je umožněno posouzení finančního stavu firmy. Na základě výsledků analýzy a řízeného rozhovoru s majitelem firmy jsou navržena opatření pro zlepšení stavu podniku a doporučení pro efektivní řízení finančních rizik.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with problems of financial risks arising from the business activity. The goal of this thesis is an analysis of financial situation of the company with a proposal of countermeasures for effective financial risk management. In the theoretical part problems of risks, their analysis and management are described. Also, there is a definition of the small and medium sized enterprises given, same as financial analysis which is then used to identify indicators of financial distress, namely liquidity, financing and solvency. In the practical part a company ABC, s.r.o. which belongs to category of small and medium sized enterprises is analyzed. By processing the financial analysis of this company using the accurate ratios, an appraisal of a financial health of the company is enabled. Based on the results of the financial analysis and guided interview with the company's owner the countermeasures for company situation improvement and recommendations for effective financial risk management are set.
