Abstract:
This thesis discusses the life and the work of the Austrian Author Thomas Bernhard and his contemporary. It´s focused on the analysis of the roman The Loser and on the characteristic of the main characters. There is also described the relation of the main characters to the music.

Tato absolventská práce se zabývá životem a dílem rakouského autora Thomase Bernharda a několika jeho současníků. Zaměřuje se zejména na rozbor románu Ztroskotanec a na charakteristiku hlavních postav tohoto díla. Dále je v této práci popsán vztah hlavních hrdinů románu k hudbě
