The induction of a pure population of cardiomyocytes from embryonic stem cells in vitro has long been a subject of research and yet the process of cardiomyogenesis in vitro is still not fully understood. This thesis investigates the effect of small organic molecules (LIF, TPA, BIO and CHIR99021) on the process of cardiomyogenesis in vitro.
