Analysis of abrasive wear and mechanical properties for components manufactured by additive technologies

Abstract:

Odolnosti materiálu proti abrazivnímu opotřebení je jedním z klíčových aspektů, které ovlivňují životnost strojních součástí, včetně těch, které byly vyrobeny aditivními technologiemi. Tato práce studuje jak abrazivní opotřebení, tak i další druhy opotřebení technických materiálů, jejich příčiny a možná opatření, k jejich eliminaci. Opotřebení je dále rozebráno v kontextu materiálů, zpracovaných pomocí aditivních technologií, a tyto technologie jsou stručně vysvětleny. Experimentální část zahrnuje zkoušku odolnosti vůči abrazivnímu opotřebení volným abrazivem. Testované vzorky, připravené pomocí aditivní technologie, jsou podrobeny také měření tvrdosti. Po důkladné analýze jsou výsledky obou experimentů diskutovány v souvislosti s teoretickými poznatky o vlivu tvrdosti materiálu na jeho otěruvzdornost. Následně jsou nastíněna výsledná doporučení pro praktické aplikace i pro případný směr budoucího výzkumu.

Abstract:

The material's resistance to abrasive wear is one of the key aspects that affect the service life of machine parts, including those manufactured using additive technologies. This work studies both abrasive wear and other types of wear of technical materials, their causes and possible measures to eliminate them. Wear is further discussed in the context of materials processed using additive technologies, and these technologies are briefly explained. The experimental part includes a test of resistance to abrasive wear with a loose abrasive. The tested samples, prepared using additive technology, are also subjected to hardness measurements. After a thorough analysis, the results of both experiments are discussed in connection with theoretical knowledge about the effect of material hardness on its abrasion resistance, after which the resulting recommendations for practical applications and for the possible direction of future research are outlined.
