Amputation, psychological dimension - acceptance of irreversible surgery by the patient

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou amputace na dolní končetině, a to zejména z důvodu pozdní komplikace a přijetím jejího nevratného operačního zákroku ze strany pacienta. V teoretické části je popisována historie amputací, jejich dělení, technika provedení, komplikace, které se mohou po chirurgickém zákroku vyskytnout a rovněž i psychologický a sociální dopad amputace. Praktická část se zaměřuje na stav pacienta z dlouhodobějšího hlediska, který je dokládán dotazníkovým šetřením. Součástí práce je i zpracovaná kazuistika pacienta po transtibiální amputaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of amputation of the lower limb, especially due to late complications and the acceptance of its irreversible surgery by the patient. The theoretical part describes the history of amputations, their division, technique, complications that may occur after surgery, as well as the psychological and social impact of amputation. The practical part focuses on the patient's condition from a long-term perspective, which is evidenced by a questionnaire survey. Part of the work is also a processed case report of the patient after transtibial amputation.
