Prevention and treatment of skin tears

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kožních trhlin, převážně jejich prevencí a léčbou. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na prevalenci, rizikové faktory a klasifikaci kožních trhliny. Nedílnou součástí jsou intervence k preventivním opatřením pro vznik kožních trhlin. V neposlední řadě také role ošetřovatelského týmu včetně léčby a výběru vhodného terapeutického materiálu k ošetření kožních trhlin. Empirická část byla prováděna formou implementačního procesu. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit, zda zdravotnický personál provádí správné intervence v péči o kožní trhliny a zda měl implementační proces vliv na změnu při ošetřování kožních trhlin.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the skin tears problematic, its treatment and prevention. This thesis is divided in two parts. The theoretical part is dealing with the prevention, classification and risk factors of skin tears. Intervention and prevention of skin tears formation is integral part of this problematic. And also the role of the nursing team with treatment and selection of appropriate therapeutic material for skin tears treatment. The empirical part was made by the implementation process. This thesis aimed to evaluate correct intervention in skin tears care, the correct intervention of medical personnel and if the implementation process had an effect on the skin tears care.
