Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá historií anglického jazyka a vlivu latinského jazyka na něj. Jako úvod praktické části je zde uvedena krátká historie latiny jako jazyka medicíny. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou dvou textů z různých vývojových období anglického jazyka ? první text je z raně moderního anglického jazyka a druhý text pochází z jazyka současného.
