Preference theory - customs and traditions
Abstract:
The thesis deals with preferences theory of Gary S. Becker. We describe the main ideas of this theory and analyze influence of habits, addictions and traditions on customer’s decisions. The thesis introduces and estimates a simple model of rational and myopic addiction on data of Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain. It is estimated by using Two Stage Least Squares method.

Diplomová práca pojednáva o teórii preferencií podľa prístupu Gary S. Beckera. Popisujeme hlavé myšlienky a závery tejto teórie a analyzuje vplyv zvykov, návykov a tradícií na rozhodovanie spotrebiteľa. Práca zavádza a odhaduje jednoduchý model racionálneho a myopického správania sa na dátach Českej republiky, Nemecka a Veľkej Británie. Odhady sú získané dvojstupňovou metódou najmenších štvorcov.
