A picture of ancient world of literature according to M. Tullius Cicero's letters
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá rekonstrukcí podoby četby, autorských postupů, editace a publikace dle podoby zachované v díle a především v dopisech Marka Tullia Cicerona. Dále obsahuje komentáře překladu vybraných pasáží z latiny do češtiny a angličtiny a přibližně mapuje zdroje, které měl Cicero k dispozici.
Abstract:
This paper deals with reconstruction of the form of reading, author's methods, editing and publishing according to a form preserved in works and mainly in letters of Marcus Tullius Cicero. It also contains commentaries on translation of selected passages from Latin to Czech or English and it attempts to be mapping the sources which Cicero had at his disposition.
