Radionuclides Important from the Point of View of Emergency Radiation Event

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou radionuklidů, které vznikají a mohou být uvolňovány do životního prostředí v důsledku radiační mimořádné události. Charakterizuje především radionuklidy významné z pohledu zdravotního rizika v případě vnitřní kontaminace osob. Dává ucelený přehled možných terapeutických přístupů vnitřní kontaminace se zaměřením na inovace v oblasti chelatačního léčiva Pruská modř. V praktické části se práce zabývá problematikou testování vnitřní kontaminace na zvířecím myším modelu. Standardizuje postupy aplikace radioaktivního cesia a detekce jeho aktivity in vivo prostřednictvím gama spektrometrie.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the issue of radionuclides that are produced and can be released into the environment as a result of a radiological emergency. It mainly characterizes radionuclides significant from the point of view of health risk in case of internal contamination of persons. It gives a comprehensive overview of possible therapeutic approaches to internal contamination, focusing on innovations in the field of the chelating drug Prussian Blue. In the practical part, the thesis addresses the issue of testing for internal contamination in an animal mouse model. It standardizes the procedures for the administration of radioactive caesium and the detection of its activity in vivo by gamma spectrometry.
