Jewish Stories, Myths and Legends in Bohemia and Moravia
Abstract:
My thesis is concerned with elaboration of Jewish theme and with an image of Jews and Jewry as portrayed in stories, myths and legends not only in Hebrew literature, but also in fiction and in anti-Semitic literature of Bohemia and Moravia. The reflexions of Jewry in contemporary art from about 11th century up to this day are included.
Abstract:
Táto práca pojednáva o spracovaní židovskej tematiky a utváraní obrazu Žida a židovstva v príbehoch, povestiach a legendách nielen hebrejskej, ale i beletristickej a antisemitskej literatúry Čiech a Moravy, vrátane ich reflexie v súdobom umení, a to v časovom rozmedzí zhruba od 11. storočia až po súčasnosť.
