The bachelor thesis examines how dentists and dental hygienists proceed in their practice in preventing the transmission of infectious diseases. It focuses on awareness of the possibilities of transmitting infectious diseases, the seriousness of some blood-transmitted diseases and the possibilities of preventing cross infection. Bakalárska práca skúma, ako postupujú zubní lekári a dentálni hygienici v praxi pri predchádzaní prenosu infekčných ochorení. Zameriava sa na povedomie o možnostiach prenosu infekčných ochorení, o závažnosti niektorých krvou prenášaných ochorení a o možnostiach predchádzania krížovej infekcie.
