Nádorová onemocnění představují rostoucí a komplexně neřešitelný problém. Ačkoliv jsou některé druhy tumorů vcelku dobře léčitelné konvenčními metodami (chemoterapie, radioterapie, chirurgie), existují rovněž takové, které jsou vůči těmto procedurám rezistentní. Cancer represents an increasing problem which lacks the complex solution. Although some kinds of tumors are quite well treatable by conventional methods (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery), there are also ones that are resistant to this procedures.
