Industry 4.0 and its impact on employment in the automotive industry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem konceptu Průmyslu 4.0 na zaměstnanost v automobilovém průmyslu. Koncept Průmyslu 4.0 je postaven na myšlence digitalizace a úplné automatizace výroby s využitím nejmodernějších technologií. Tento koncept může mít negativní dopad na zaměstnanost. Cílem práce je vytvoření návrhů a doporučení pro stabilizaci zaměstnanosti určené HR managementu v automobilovém průmyslu v souvislosti se čtvrtou průmyslovou revolucí i s ohledem na následky pandemie Covid-19. Literární přehled se věnuje historickému kontextu jednotlivých průmyslových revolucí a následně samotné problematice Průmyslu 4.0. V diplomové práci je aplikován kvantitativní a kvalitativní výzkum, prostřednictvím kterého je zkoumána úroveň zavedených prvků Průmyslu 4.0 ve firmách, dále pak vnímání, postoje a názory zaměstnanců na tento koncept. Na základě zjištěných výsledků jsou formulována výsledná doporučení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of the concept of Industry 4.0 on employment in the automotive industry. The concept of Industry 4.0 is based on the idea of digitalization and complete automation of production using the latest technologies. This concept might have a negative impact on employment. The aim of the work is to create proposals and recommendations to stabilize employment for HR management in the automotive industry in connection with the fourth industrial revolution and with regard to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The literature review deals with the historical context of individual industrial revolutions and subsequently with the issue of Industry 4.0 itself. The diploma thesis applies quantitative and qualitative research, through which the level of established elements of Industry 4.0 in companies is examined, as well as the perceptions, attitudes and opinions of employees on this concept. Based on the results, the final recommendations are formulated.
