Influence of different intensity thinning on growth of Tectona grandis plantations with spacing 1 x 1 m

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zjistit vliv 3 různých pěstebních zásahů na porosty týku (Tectona grandis) založené na plantážích v Nikaragui v neobvyklém sponu 1x1m a určit, který z těchto zásahů má nejlepší vliv z hlediska přírůstu dřevní hmoty a následné mechanické stability přeštíhleného porostu. Bylo provedeno výškové a tloušťkové měření stromů na zájmovém území v rozmezí let 2014-2017. Jednalo se vždy o sérii tří typů probírek (kombinace schematické s pozitivním výběrem s 45% redukcí, schematická se 75% redukcí a individuální negativní probírka s cca 55% redukcí, jedna plocha kontrolní byla ponechána bez zásahu) ve třech opakováních pro porosty založené v letech 2006, 2007 a 2008. Podle dosažených výsledků lze, jako nejvhodnější určit schematickou probírku s intenzitou redukce 75 %.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to find out the effect of three different cultivation interventions on teak forest (Tectona grandis) based on Nicaragua plantations in an unusual spacing 1x1m and to determine which of these interventions have the best influence in terms of the growth of wood mass and consequent mechanical stability of the overgrown stands. A height and thickness measurement of trees in the area of interest was carried out in 2014-2017. It was always a series of three types of thinning (schematic with 75% reduction, schematic combination with positive selection with 45% reduction and individual negative trench with about 55% reduction, one control area was left without intervention) in three replicates for stands based on years 2006, 2007 and 2008. According to our results, the best intervention is those with 75 % of reduction.
