Tool life analysis of selected indexable inserts from SK

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na analýzu životnosti vybrané vyměnitelné břitové destičky ze slinutého karbidu. Teoretická část mé bakalářské práce se především orientuje na použití vyměnitelných břitových destiček při soustružení, neboť má experimentální část je zaměřena na trvanlivost a opotřebení VBD při tomto způsobu obrábění. Teoretická část pokračuje charakteristikou řezných materiálů, pozornost je zvlášť věnována slinutým karbidům, z nichž jsou zhotoveny vyměnitelné břitové destičky použité v experimentu. Dále je zpracováno opotřebení břitu vyměnitelných břitových destiček. Poslední kapitola je věnována životnosti a trvanlivosti nástroje. V praktické části je zpočátku zmíněna analýza obráběného materiálu, charakteristika vyměnitelné břitové destičky a řezné podmínky. Po této kapitole následuje analýza opotřebení VBD, analýza třísky a měření drsnosti. Dále byla provedena SEM analýza břitové destičky a EDS analýzy. Výsledky jsou shrnuty v kapitole závěr a doporučení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of lifetime of selected interchangeable insert of sintered carbide. The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis focuses mainly on the use of insertable inserts during turning, since the experimental part is focused on the durability and wear of VBD in this machining process. The theoretical part continues with the characteristic of cutting materials, the special attention is paid to sintered carbides, from which are made replaceable inserts used in the experiment. Furthermore, wear of the cutting insert cutting edge is processed. The last chapter is devoted to tool life and durability. In the practical part, the analysis of the machined material, the characteristic of the insertable insert and the cutting conditions are mentioned at the beginning. This chapter is followed by analysis of VBD wear, chip analysis and roughness measurement. In addition, SEM insert analysis and EDS analysis were performed. The results are summarized in the conclusion and recommendations chapter.
