Prison Service of the Czech Republic in the Context of the President's Amnesty

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tématem Vězeňské služby České republiky ve spojení s amnestiemi bývalých prezidentů. Sektor Vězeňské služby je rozsáhlý, proto je práce zaměřena na vybranou věznici v Hradci Králové. Smyslem práce je otevřít otázku problematiky amnestie jako právní pravomoci, zda je tento institut užíván účelně a především správně. Samozřejmě není opomenuta související právní úprava či historie samotného pojmu amnestie. Závěrečná analýza věznice v Hradci Králové reflektuje zhodnocení dopadů amnestie na vězeňství a zároveň podstrojuje poslední části práce, ve které jsou obsažena řešení v institutu amnestie.

Abstract:

This work is about the Prison service of Czech Republic in connection with former presidential amnesties. Sector Prison service is very extensive, that´s why the work is focused on one selected prison in Hradec Králové. The purpose of the work is to open the issue of amnesty as a legal authority to guestion whether this institute id used effectively and above all, correctly. Of course, the related legislationn or the history of the concept of amnesty is not neglected. The final analysis of the chosen prison in Hradec Králové reflects the evaluation of the impact of amnesty on prisons and at the same time guides to the last part of the work in which the solutions in the institute of amnesty are included.
