Instruments of prevention and detection of fraudulent behaviour in commercial corporations

Abstract:

The purpose of diploma thesis „ Instruments of prevention and detection of fraudulent behavior in commercial corporations” is to analyze trends within fraudulent behavior in the accounting of business corporations, evaluation of selected instruments of prevention and detection of fraudulent behavior and to provide the proposals to improve the prevention and detection of fraudulent behavior in selected company. In the theoretical part I pay attention to evaluate the current state of fraudulent behavior and how various tools of prevention and detection could be implemented. The purpose of practical part is to analyze and compare two selected companies from the perspective of possible fraudulent behavior and what instruments of prevention and detection have these companies implemented. The final part provides a simple guide on how to proceed in the detection of fraudulent behavior within the accounting and various recommendations and advices on how to improve the system of fraud prevention and detection.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce „Nástroje prevence a odhalování podvodného jednání v obchodních korporacích“ je prostredníctvom analýzy trendov v rámci podvodných jednaní v účtovníctve obchodných korporácií a zhodnotenia vybraných nástrojov prevencie a odhaľovania podvodného jednania vo vybranom podniku podať návrhy na zlepšenie prevencie a detekcie podvodného jednania. V teoretickej časti venujem pozornosť zhodnoteniu súčasného stavu problematiky podvodného konania a jednotlivých možnosti prevencií. V praktickej časti následne analyzujem a porovnávam dva vybrané podniky z pohľadu možného podvodného konania a toho, aké nástroje prevencie a odhaľovania majú tieto spoločnosti implementované. Na záver práce nakoniec poskytujem jednoduchý návod, ako postupovať pri detekcii podvodného konania v rámci účtovníctva a tiež rôzne odporúčania a rady na zefektívnenie systému prevencie a detekcie podvodného konania.
