Linguistic units in the discursus: Textual linguistic analysis demonstrated on the reflexion of the presidential election in 2013 in the German media

Abstract:

This Master's thesis links the actual theme in the media with the current questions in the textual linguistics and presents linguistic units in the discursus of the presidential election in the Czech Republic in January 2013. It focuses on the development and the change of the Miloš Zeman portrayal in the German press. For the determination of descriptive implements in the discursus, the traditional textual linguistic method by Wolf is used, and also the more contemporary one by Hausendorf and Kesselheim.

Abstract:

Táto magisterská diplomová práca spája aktuálnu mediálnu tému so súčasnými otázkami textovej lingvistiky a prezentuje jazykové prostriedky tvoriace diškurz prezidentských volieb v Českej republike z januára 2013, pričom sa zameriava na vývoj a premenu mediálneho obrazu Miloša Zemana v nemeckej tlači. Pri určovaní popisných nástrojov vytvárajúcich tento diškurz je využívaná tradičná textová lingvistická metóda od Wolfa a novšia empirická metóda od Hausendorfa a Kesselheima.
