Leadership as a key factor in company success

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou leadershipu ve firemním prostředí a vlivem leadershipu na úspěch a reputaci firmy. Cílem práce bylo prozkoumat vnímání leadershipu v mezinárodní firmě, která sice působí v tuzemských podmínkách, ale s filozofií domovské země, tedy Spojených států amerických. Úkolem bylo zjistit, jestli pracovníci firmy SELBY vnímají své nadřízené pracovníky jako lídry a jestli české vedení podniká kroky pro správné nastavení povědomí o této problematice. Tento cíl byl naplněn pomocí dotazníků, které byly rozděleny mezi řadové zaměstnance a exekutivní členy firmy. Následně byly celkové výsledky ověřeny pomocí řízených rozhovorů s kompetentními osobami. Na základě zjištěných výsledků byly firmě doporučeny možné změny, které mají prospět k významu leadershipu ve firmě.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I analyze leadership in company environment and how leadership affects the success and reputation of the company. This bachelor thesis is used to clarify the perception of leadership in an international company, which operates under domestic conditions with the philosophy of its home state, i.e. the United States of America. My goal was to investigate whether SELBY employees perceive their supervisors as a leaders and whether the Czech management of the company is undertaking the required steps for proper implementation of leadership. I decided to achieve my goal through questionnaires, which were divided between casual employees and executive staff of the company. The next step was to verify the investigated results through controlled interviews with competent persons. The results fulfilled my expectations and based on them I recommended possible changes, which will lead to a better understanding of leadership in SELBY company. SELBY has a lot of room for leadership growth and its implementation
